How buyback
works.
Our buyback program gives you rental-like flexibility without a strict post-Burn handoff. Purchase the bike in full, then return it in qualifying condition by September 12, 2026, for the stated refund. If you decide not to return it, congratulations, it’s yours.

What e-bikes are allowed?
Allowed e-bikes must be Class 1 or Class 2, generally recognized as bicycles, have two or three wheels and working pedals, use a motor no greater than 750 watts, have a top-rated speed no greater than 20 mph with a 170 lb. rider, and not be a moped. The speed limit everywhere in Black Rock City is 5 mph. E-motorcycles, mopeds, seated electric scooters and fat-tire scooters are not allowed.

What comes with an AIMA rental?
Your rental includes pannier bags and a charger. Pickup and return at E-Bike Hub are free.
What does “effective cost after refund” mean?
It is the original purchase price minus the stated buyback refund, assuming the bike is returned in qualifying condition.
Will manufacturer range match Playa range?
No. Dust, soft surfaces, cargo, temperature, rider weight and assist level can reduce real-world range. Plan to charge regularly.
